Resources for new Noirlandia players! 9 Free Quickstarts
Hi all!
We wanted to welcome the many people who have downloaded Noirlandia as part of the TTRPG Bundle for Trans Rights in Texas, and share some resources for running the game.
It’s beyond amazing to be part of a bundle that has raised $258,000 (🤯) for trans rights. By the time we’re finished writing this post, we know that number will be even higher!
When we made Noirlandia, we also released 9 free quickstarts with the game. These are 9 different complete cases that set you up with a mystery, the setting and characters, and illustrated leads you can cut out and pin to your corkboard. It’s your job to connect the dots and find the answer! The quickstarts were written by 9 different game designers, and each is fully illustrated. They’re one of our proudest parts of Noirlandia, and we wanted to point you in their direction as a great asset for playing the game.
We’ve updated the downloadable itchio files to include those PDFs, and they’re also available individually on the Turtlebun website here.
Also, we created a set of character portraits you can print and use for leads on your board, drawn from some of our generous Kickstarter backers and a few real-life inspirations. Those files have been added to itchio, as well as a couple alternate lead tables that give your mystery a supernatural or David Lynchian flavor!
If you have any questions about the game, or want to chat about the bundle, you’re welcome to join us in the Turtlebun discord. We try to make ourselves available there to help with the process of running a game. Also we just hang out and talk about Star Trek.
So, again, welcome! And thank you so much for being a part of a bundle that has raised a life-changing amount for trans rights!
Very best,
Han & Evan
